Tikka Masala is a relatively new British-Indian spice blend that is most commonly used to prepare chicken curries based on tomato sauce.
Our Tikka Masala is wonderfully fruity with an ethereal freshness, thanks to the Mint. It's not just for meat dishes; it can also be used to prepare delicious vegetable curries with lots of paprika and spicy stews with pulses. It can also enhance yogurt or cream cheese dips, both in terms of flavor and appearance.
Our Tikka Masala is produced in our spice factory according to meticulously refined and closely guarded recipes before being coarsely ground and placed in our ceramic pots. This preserves the valuable essential oils and aromas. It should be lightly roasted in a pan shortly before use, then finely crushed in a mortar and pestle. It tastes best when used with cream or coconut milk. Please use the masala sparingly, as it can easily over-season dishes!

The mixture is said to have originated with a British-Indian chef who improvised a novel curry based on tomato sauce for a guest who complained that there was no sauce for his meat. However, malicious gossips claim that this chef himself circulated the story to promote his culinary skills. In 2001, then-British Foreign Secretary Robin Cook described Chicken Tikka Masala, due to its popularity, as a true national dish of the British and an expression of successful multiculturalism.
