This boldly decorated porcelain bowl featuring monkeys and traditional Delft Blue details is part of Janny van der Heijden's Sharing Moments collection. Janny van der Heijden is known as the host of the Dutch version of The Great British Bake Off and as a passionate collector of Delftware. Together with Heinen Delfts Blauw, she launched her own tableware collection called Sharing Moments. The first edition of the collection was all about lush tulips and bold stripes, but now the collection has a new addition, and it's all about monkeys! A theme that was already popular on Dutch tableware four hundred years ago. "Monkeys are synonymous with pranks and with imitating human behavior," says Janny of her new design. "The playful monkeys on the new Heinen Delfts Blauw dinnerware set are sure to bring a smile to your face. The theme of monkeys in funny situations has been a popular decoration on porcelain for over four hundred years, and we love bringing them back to the dining table. In Asia, porcelain is often decorated with monkeys as a symbol of wisdom and longevity." This addition to the existing collection proves to be a perfect complement to the lush tulips. The porcelain bowl is decorated on the inside with a more traditional Delft Blue, while the exterior features a modern decor with climbing monkeys, exotic flowers, and branches. The porcelain bowl is dishwasher, oven, and microwave safe.
