This plant originates from India, but the turmeric we offer was cultivated in Madagascar, making it one of their specialties. This turmeric powder is exceptional and unlike the vulgar powders you're used to, which are used only to color dishes. The rhizomes are coarsely peeled, a rare procedure, to obtain only the kernel, rich in curcumin and essential oils. They are then slowly dried in the sun and then reduced to powder to produce this particularly fragrant spice.
